Feeding in children and adolescents

The periodicity of human evolution in the first part of life can be done according to age or according to anatomic-functional particularities and education and training conditions, the two methods being partially superimposed and the appreciation of the nutritional status is made by periodical measurement of some parameters somatic.

Puberty represents the period of transition from the stage of the child to the adult stage, characterized by numerous and profound biological, physical, psychological, moral changes, etc.. The period in which the features of the corolary disappear, the secondary sexual characters appear and is mostly accomplished shaping the future adult.

Characteristic of this stage is the increase in nutrient demand due to rapid growth and growth in height, changes in eating habits and lifestyle, and possibly the need to supplement food in certain particular situations.
